Forts and Spoons

Last night I had my eighteenth birthday party. My friends played “extreme Spoons.” It’s much like regular Spoons, as there are people playing cards in a circle while trying to get four of one suit, at which point you are permitted to grab a spoon, and there is one less spoon than there are people. It is unlike regular Spoons, however, because the spoons themselves are placed not in the middle, but across the room, and as soon as someone gets four of a kind… the race is on. Disaster and hilarity ensue.

We also made a gigantic fort out of cushions and blankets, then slept in it. I’m glad to see becoming an adult has bolstered my maturity.
